THE SCRUM is the centrepiece of a ground-breaking rugby precinct to be built at Suncorp Stadium, the home of the Queensland Reds.

THE SCRUM is an architecturally designed monument representative of the iconic Rugby scrum. To reflect our game’s 130-year history, each arm of the scrum will symbolise one of the 13 decades of Queensland Rugby and the significant achievements during those years.

The great players, coaches and administrators who helped shape the game in Queensland will be celebrated within the structure of THE SCRUM and Hall of Fame inductees for the decade will have their names inscribed.

Scheduled to be unveiled in 2016 / 2017, THE SCRUM and the surrounding Precinct will be a place for the Rugby Community to enjoy and to recognise the achievements of the past and look forward to an exciting future. 2013 marked the 130th anniversary of the formation of the Queensland Rugby Union. Honouring our past and celebrating our future, the precinct and the Scrum acknowledges the contributions and achievements of the entire Rugby Community in Queensland.
